  1. I love this idea! What are good seeds to use? We’ve done cat grass but that’s all. Can they be put in the garden later?

I would love to see your felted eggs on here. Ours didn’t turn out so well.

  2. Yes! You can transplant them to the garden and kind of squish up the eggshell a little to help feed the plant.

Radishes are nice because they germinate quickly. Sunflowers are good because they are a pretty sure thing, and I love them because they show kids that from one tiny seed a HUGE plant can grow and give us hundreds and hundreds of new seeds.

Maybe someone else will have good recommendations for seeds — we did sweet pea flowers, spinch and onions because that is what we had and what we can easily transplant this time of year.

Confession: I’ve NEVER grown an onion from a seed. I usually get sets at the farmer’s market, so we’ll see how it goes!
